Barbary Coast was claimed in a Maiden Claiming race at Del Mar on July 30th. Originally purchased at OBS in 2013 with great expectations for the 2 year old; sired by D'wildcat, who Fog City Stables once owned. D'wildcat who was purchased in 2000, is a multiple graded stakes winner and earned a spot in the top 100 rankings by earnings in 2002. Barbary Coast started his racing career as a 4 year old and was a little late to the game. We believed that the chestnut colt had much potential but due to a decline in ability, it was practical to move on to a younger prospect form our pipeline.
